We are on a mission. We know the positive impact that sport and physical activity has on our mental health, and we want the entire nation to know it too- but we need your help!

Below are some ways to get involved, along with lots of different resources that you can use to help us raise awareness of the work we do, and the importance of being active for our physical, as well as mental health.

Our Sport in Mind Webinar

Click below to take you directly to our Mental Health Awareness Week webinar- a 30 minute talk on how physical activity supports our mental health, the ideal tool for a lunch and learn session at work, at school or in your local community. Why not watch the webinar as a group during mental health awareness week, and then go out for a wellbeing walk afterwards to talk about what you've learned!

#Sportgotmethrough

Everyday we hear powerful and inspiring stories from people who have used sport to help their mental health. This Mental Health Awareness Week we will be sharing some of these inspiring stories across social media. Please look out for them, and if you feel inspired to do so, we'd love to hear your stories of how 'Sport helped you through'.

You can join our social media campaign by doing the following:

  1. Share how sport helped your mental health
  2. Share a tip on how you can use sport to help your mental health
  3. Tag @sportinmind
  4. Use the hashtag #sportgotmethrough

You can also share your support of movement for mental health by using the social media posts below! Tag us @sportinmind and we'll share your activity!

Sport in Mind Wellbeing Walks

Take part in your own #momentsformovement by joining us on a wellbeing walk on Friday 17th May! We have several walks taking place in various locations (click below to see details of each walk), or arrange your own, with a colleague, friend or family member, for a walk and talk for your mental wellbeing. We'll be sharing ours on social media on Friday, and we'd love to see you all join in- wherever you are in the country!
